About the Doctor
Dr. Peter Podbielski is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and internationally recognized expert in the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release® (MFR) Approach, with more than 30 years of experience in rehabilitation.
Peter began his career as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 1992 and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 2005. Since 2009, he has dedicated his practice to the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach, becoming an advanced practitioner, instructor, and mentor. He had the privilege of working alongside John F. Barnes in educational programs and serving as his personal therapist and close colleague.
Peter specializes in complex pain, fascial restrictions, postural dysfunction, scoliosis, and sports injuries, using an individualized approach focused on restoring movement, reducing pain, and improving function. He also incorporates Pilates and the Record System into physical therapy sessions when appropriate, helping patients develop greater strength, stability, body awareness, and movement efficiency.
With a background as a competitive 400-meter runner and soccer coach, Peter brings a unique understanding of athletic performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. He has worked with athletes at all levels, including elite and world-class competitors.
Peter is also passionate about education and mentorship, teaching Myofascial Release concepts to therapists and healthcare professionals throughout the United States and internationally. He continues to mentor practitioners at his Phoenix clinic.
His mission is simple, following the example of his mentor, John F. Barnes: to help every patient return to a healthy, active lifestyle.
About Complete Physical Therapy
Complete Physical Therapy is a boutique- style, independently owned practice that has been serving patients in the West Valley and across the Phoenix metro area since 2008. Our approach centers on Myofascial Release therapy: a gentle, hands-on technique that addresses both acute and chronic pain with lasting results. Unlike many larger practices, we prioritize extended one-on-one time with each patient, allowing us to customize care and support long-term healing and recovery. We treat a variety of different conditions: from plantar fasciitis to vertigo, post surgery rehabilitation, work and car accident related injury.
